About Safe Zones
Safe zones are where you know you're going to be safe.
Obvious really, but it's an important thing. It's where you know everything is OK, and you can stop worrying.
In terms of CheckImSafe, safe zones are places you can set up on a map, where we know you're safe, and know to not send out an alert email to your emergency contact.
Set up safe zones at your home, and anywhere else you feel you may end up, which will be a safe place to be. You can set zones up for each event, or set them up and then forget about them.
When you have set an event running, you cannot change your safe zones, so make sure you've set them up in advance.
You can only end an event in a safe zone. If you start an event, and then can't get to one of your safe zones, your GPS data WILL be sent to your emergency contact.
Don't make your Safe Zones too small. GPS isn't that accurate and if you draw a Safe Zone the size of your bedroom, chances are it'll be difficult to exactly place yourself inside it. Also, remember GPS does't work well indoors. We suggest you surround any house you set as a Safe Zone with maybe ten or twenty metres clearance. Make the Safe Zone a bit bigger than you need it.
